Environmental aspects and impacts involved in a small dairy

This work aimed to determine the environmental aspects and impacts involved in a small dairy located in the Zona da Mata Mineira. To meet such goal, a diagnosis was made by monitoring all the production lines, combined with a questionnaire application and verification list. After the analysis of the questionnaire applied and verification list, the environmental aspects and impacts involved in the dairy were determined. Mitigating measures were suggested to obtain a sustainable production. The main contributors for the dairy's organic load detected were waste, serum and leitelho, which are incorrectly handled. It is concluded that dairy fit for the process of sustainable production, it is necessary that some mitigating measures are implemented.
