Abstract

Cleaning and hygienic aspects related to membranes processes in the dairy industry
The use of membrane separation in the dairy industry has grown dramatically in recent years. The main limiting factor application is related to the formation of depositions called fouling. The objective of this work is to present the most important aspects relating to the mechanism of fouling formation, as well as its major implications for the scaling up of cleaning systems for milk processing plants.
